SSIT SibFU — Website of University's Admissions

School of Space and Information Technologies of Siberian Federal University is a state university that graduates specialists in the IT field.

As a part of the admission campaign, the website goal is to help to inform enrollees about their capabilities at the institute and help them determine which study directions to choose.

We collected and structured data about the university then developed a design concept and page layouts. And finally implemented a career-guidance test for applicants.

Data Gathering

We had a series of conversations with the leadership of the university before the start of the work. We defined the goal and objectives of the project, then collected and analyzed the data on the educational programs of the institute, worked out the semantic content of the pages. Things that interested us were: what the institute offers, how it compares favorably with other universities, how to determine the direction and much more.

Nothing convinces as well as numbers do. We provided them in large quantities, so that the website converts visitors into enrollees without the objections.

Parents choose the institute for more than 60% of applicants. To convince parents means to get a student.

Additional Education

It is surprising that the institute didn’t offer its additional educational opportunities. We collected information on various courses and clearly conveyed it to the end consumers.

Entry Test

We prepared a test for applicants. With its help you can determine a study direction. After passing it applicant learns about the suitable profession, average salary and necessary skills.

Logo and Identity

The new identity concept is based on a matrix representation of the institute’s name. Symbols "SSIT" are located on the cells of the matrix and are identified with mathematical and software objects. A chopped angular font in addition to a violet-purple gradient provides a concept with tech feeling.
